Wine cellars Statti and adventure in Curinga

Departure for the Azienda agricola Statti, located in the heart of the Piana di Lamezia Terme.
The Azienda Statti belongs to an ancient family of Calabrian Barons and boasts an agricultural tradition that dates back to the 1700s. The company covers 500 hectares of land with centuries-old olive groves, vineyards, citrus orchards, and a herd of 800 cattle. We will explore the vineyards and olive groves, with a visit to the winery, the olive press, and the evocative underground barrel cellar. We will conclude the tour with a tasting of local products and the opportunity to purchase wines and oil from this land.
After leaving the Statti wineries, we will proceed towards Curinga. Here, you will experience an adventure with ancient charm while discovering the famous plane tree, a millennia-old ”good giant“ that came second in the European competition ”Tree of the Year 2021.“ A few meters away there is the Eremo di Sant'Elia. The monastery was built in the year 1000 by monks who arrived from Armenia to seek refuge in solitude and prayer. After a walk in nature, you will arrive at the village of Curinga, where you can admire its beautiful historic center.
